I am using these as display signs for different “zones” in my classroom like the reading area, the prize corner, etc. The chalk markers work well and stand out against the board. They write in just the right size to be bold and legible.

These came with a single white “chalk” marker. I wish I could find my fancy color chalk markers, but for now the white one will do. I do like the little mini-sign boards, but, yeah, they aren’t actually chalkboards, so real chalk won’t work on them.The black is a plastic that’s adhered to the wood, so it’s nice that you can easily wipe off the “chalk” marker with a bit of water. It would not last in the rain though. A normal chalkboard would last a bit better in rain (but not a whole lot of rain).If these were more accurately named, they’d be quite nice. But as they are innacurately named, I can’t honestly rate them well. If you’re looking for chalkboard signs, these are not what you want.
