Not gonna lie – I was horrified when I took this out of the box. It was all scrunched up, packed tightly together, and looked so cheap. I was fully expecting to return it, but the moment I got this up on our door I was IN LOVE! It looks so jolly! I paired it with a wreath I picked up from Home Depot.Note: There are no batteries included, and each side takes 3 AA batteries.Once the batteries were in, the timer worked perfectly. There is no remote control. You have to click the button a certain number of times based on the type of light movement you like (blinking, wave of motion, slow sparkle, still, etc – I’m a fan of the slow sparkle myself!). As long as you don’t turn it off, the timer will automatically work. It’s on for 6 hours, off for 18 hours from the time that you first turn it on. So make sure that you turn it on when you want the timer to start on the first day.I really appreciated that the movement settings are written on the battery box so you don’t need to look in the instructions. I’m planning to use this for years to come, so I’m really glad that I don’t have to also worry about keeping track of the instructions packet when I store it.

I bought these a while ago and was saving them for Christmas this past year. We put them under our windows outside and they made the front of our house look so beautiful. It looked like a winter cottage, only no snow. lol. We were so busy this past Dec, I did not take pictures.

It looks great! Here are a couple things to think about: 1) When you open the box, there are the two items tightly rolled into two balls. I might have damaged it trying to figure out how to undo it but a contributor named igor answered that exact question. He said view it like a roll of tape. Find the end and it will easily unroll from there and lay flat. That was a great piece of advice and worked perfectly. 2) This is heavy. Figure out exactly where you want it and precisely how you’re going to make it stay there. I’m using it for a front porch railing and need decently strong wire to make it work. 3) Be ready for a bit of a mess when you unbox and unroll it — glitter is involved etc. If you’re in a climate where doing it outside is ok, do it outside. It’s too cold here but I did it with a hand vac at my side and used it! Twice! A review or two said stuff falls off it. I mean “stuff” like stuff you want on it — decorations. Don’t handle it roughly but I didn’t have to handle it with kid gloves either and nothing fell off (but some glitter etc.) It is genuinely beautiful. I’d buy it again. Can’t speak yet to how the timed lights will work out but everything came undamaged. Your need to use your own batteries. I’m delighted to have it battery operated and timed.

I really liked these, however the lights really are just not that bright. The garland is pretty without it, but I wouldn’t buy these if the lights are essential go with something else.

This garland is beautiful and very full! The lights worked perfectly and I’d recommend this to anyone. I’ve included a video of the garland in my review, also.Along with the garland, I purchase (from another vendor) 18″ garland ties to attached it to my thick railing. I would also recommend buying this, as well. they blend right in with the garland.
