best book ive read in years
this book pulled me out of a huge reading slump. started off slow.. but it was well worth pushing through to get to the end. took about a week to get through the first half, then only 2 days to finish the second half of the book. i love that maas didn’t rush the ending and also didn’t leave any loose ends. if you like harry potter, game of thrones, lord of the rings, etc you will most definitely like this!

Defintly worth the read!
I started this book on whim on my day off due to all the reviews I saw on an app. I went in thinking It would take me a week as I usually don’t read this genre but This book was an absolute soul sucker for me. I finished it in three days. I bought the second book the next day because I consumed the first 30 chapters in one day and read the last 16 in two nights before bed. Definitely get the set if you’re going to start this series!

Reminded me of an adult version of Beauty & the Beast. Love Feyre’e character so much! Love the bond between her & Tamlin. And love the banter between Feyre & Lucien-they cracked me up. Just love him! Like I said when reviewing Fourth Wing, I never ever thought I’d be one to read anything fantasy related, but here we are! Another one bites the dust & sucked me right in! I’ve heard that the series only gets better after the 1st book, so I’m all ready to dive right in! Hoping it gets a little bit spicier too!
So, better late than never to jump on the ACOTAR series right??!? I just finished the 1st book in the series, so I’ll keep it short & do a bigger review when I finish the whole series. Loved it.

Good start to the series
I really enjoyed the last 150 pages of this book. The first half dragged a little bit but given that this is the first book in the series, I expected that. The main character Feyre is very likeable and the world established by the author is beautiful. Everyone told me the series only gets better from here on out so I can’t wait to read the rest!

4★/ 17+/.3 Spice I teetered between a 3.5/4★ and still unsure honestly, but went with a four star because although there are some things I would change, it wouldn’t be a whole bunch. I would for sure add some more spice. Like, at least give us two peppers worthy! My thoughts: Tamlin, he just didn’t do it for me. Something about him is off and I can’t put my finger on it. Lucien, is my total favorite! I loved everything about him. Feyre, she seems a little young and kinda dumb. I will say, kudos to her for sticking up for herself and the ones she loves. Amarantha, is wild, crazy, and hella wicked. Rhysand, wow do I love a morally gray character! I hope he ends up being Feyre’s mated match. Unless there is a better woman for him. Someone strong and witty! However, I liked the world-building and I enjoyed getting to see the world from Feyre’s POV. I wish we did have a dual POV though. That would have made the book better (in my opinion). Also, this book will seem pretty slow for 2/3, but that last part of the book will make up for it for sure. You have to get through all that, to realize how much of the book was really setting the reader up for the ending. All in all, I enjoyed the book. I might even be excited for the second!

I usually pass over anything pertaining to faeries but I read so many great reviews about this series that I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did! I love the world that Maas created, you can really picture everything she was describing to you. It was a decent retelling of beauty and the beast pretty but I thought there was something lacking in the chemistry between Feyre and Tamlin.(that could be on purpose though) I look forward to reading the rest of the series!

Perfect! Just perfect! I’m very picky about reading. I don’t like anything dramatic or sad. I also despise cheesy cheap stories. This story is so captivating though. The characters come to life. Beautifully written. I read the whole series and reread it again because so many things made more sense the second time! Amazing book. Definitely a keeper in my library! It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for awhile to read.

A mix of Beauty and the Beast, The Tale of Cupid and Psyche, and the Ballad of Tam Lin. I was hooked from the beginning! The protagonist and side characters are all complex characters. The world is beautiful and vivid and the romance is a bit of a slow-burn. The ending is fantastic and will leave you immediately reaching for the next book in the series!

You will fly through each book and wish you had the next ready to read immediately. Sarah J. Maas does such a good job of getting you hooked on the story line and the characters. This book feels like an immersive experience – like you’re physically there in the realms she describes. AND – can’t forget about all the spiciness this book contains. Read through it in 3 days. Zero regrets. Only regret is not having the box set so I could immeditaely start the next book (which I devoured equally as fast).
