My daughter loves the Zany Zoo! I purchased it after seeing her play with it at a friend’s house. She goes back to it again and again when playing in her room. She loves to shut the little doors and spin the balls. It’s a great addition to her toys and Target had it for a great price.

SAFETY HAZARD DO NOT BUY
While this is a cute toy our child has been injured now twice! First time a finger was stuck while moving the animal pieces along the top and it ripped a bunch of her skin. We thought that was just a random thing. Fast forward to today and our child was standing up and playing with the beads. She went back and it toppled over onto her and damaged her two front lower teeth. One baby tooth needed full removal. She was being supervised and I was right next to her but couldn’t prevent it. Basically this toy should not be played with except sitting ONLY and even then watch fingers. I think the size of this being not too big to remain upright and not small enough that a child can pull it over and cause injury makes it not safe. It will no longer be in our house!

Loved the idea of hands on learning. My daughter flipped it over on herself while I was playing with her on the floor, no big deal. She’s big for 14 months. My concern is that one of the doors cracked off leaving small metal rods for her to try and put in her mouth.

Chipping paint
My 9 month old son really likes playing with this toy – only problem is, the paint is chipping off of the metal pipes that hold the moveable beads. I noticed it while he was playing today. It makes me cringe thinking he may have eaten a piece of paint as I couldn’t find the original missing paint anywhere. Additionally, it’s important to keep a close eye while a child plays with this as once they try holding themselves up, the entire box can come tumbling back on top of them. Pros and cons I suppose!

My 15 month old tripped on it, tipped it over and got her foot stuck inside the top of it. I thought she broke her ankle it was bruised to hell but its just bruised thankfully. I couldn’t get the top toys detached so I just had to bend the metal as much as I could and try to wiggle her foot out.

Extremely disappointed! We were excited to find a great activity cube that had multiple play options for our little one, only to discover it was broken in all the places where we couldn’t immediately tell from being packaged in the box. Once the box came off, we had to return it.

Perfect for pulling to stand
My 9 month old LOVES this toy. I got it for her to pull up to stand, and it is perfect for this!! She so easily grips the metal wire things the wooden beads slide around on, and it’s the perfect height! She loves the little animals that slide around on the top level and loves to stick her little face as close to the beads as possible so she can see all the little details in the “zany zoo”Side note: your LO does need to be supervised when playing with this, as they could potentially pull the whole thing down. It’s pretty sturdy and usually only tips a little when she pulls on it, but I could totally see how a little extra oomph might topple it.

The best.
I bought this toy 10 years ago for my oldest daughter, and it is still going strong for my other kids. Many kids of different ages have enjoyed this. Obviously this toy is made out of wood and is not bolted to the floor, so it is important to supervise your kids when they are playing with it. We have moved several times and this thing doesn’t have so much as a scratch in the paint. Well worth the cost for the quality.

Lots of ways for baby to play as he grows!! As he gets older I’m noticing him exploring more aspects of it- for example tonight he was standing and playing with the beads, while when he was smaller he hardly noticed them. So fun to watch him explore!! Just be careful – my child was able to pull the box over and it could have squished him a bit so definitely keep kids supervised when they’re younger

Great for learning to stand
This toy gets played with for hours on end everyday. I bought this when my baby was 8 months old and while it was cause for many head bangs, in order to learn to stand we must fall. Now at 9 months, we haven’t had too many more bonks. Loving this toy.

My 14 month old loves this. She liked it in the store so we brought it home. After getting it out of the box and playing with it with her, we noticed an empty “path” on the top. After looking into it and looking at pictures, it’s missing a turtle. It doesn’t seem to have broken, as there was no evidence of breakage (ie no wooden bits at the bottom of the box and no turtle in sight) I believe it was a manufacturer error. Otherwise, my baby loves it. We are not returning it as it was the only one in the store, and the toy is still very enjoyable for my baby. Just alittle sad we are missing a moving piece on the top

We’ve had this activity cube for almost 9 months and it’s still one of the main toys my toddler plays with. As she continues to grow, she is entertained with different parts of the activity cube.
