The two criteria which determine whether a given brand’s white out is sufficient in its functionality are its ability to cover mistakes and the time it takes to dry. In this case, Bic’s Wite Out fails to satisfy the latter. Since I have navigated to this page and started writing this review, the wite out on the form on my desk still hasn’t dried. Thus, Bic’s Wite Out results in productivity loss and thus efficiency loss. For the discerning office supplier who values efficiency in form completion, I suggest going for other brands’ offerings. Even as I conclude this rather prolix review, the white out remains sticky to the touch, a testament to its failings as a white out.

Bic Wite-Out Correction Tapen USED to be good a few years ago. Bic made some changes that have made this product COMPLETELY USELESS. Firstly, Bic redesigned the PERFECTLY FINE applicator that WORKED. Now, it doesn’t work at all. It’s impossible to cut/sever the tape from the roll. It just will not come off! Secondly, the changed the formula for the tape itself. The wite-out portion separates from the clear tape almost instantly, and once it separates, there is no fixing it. There’s—quite literally—nothing you can do to fix it. The failure is in the design. Bic should honestly be ashamed of themselves for continuing the sell this product, especially considering it is VASTLY INFERIOR to the previous design.

I’ve tried using this product many times over my decades of business experience. I have NEVER been able to get through even half of the tape without the reel skipping, and making it virtually impossible to continue to use the device. As someone who’s been in the manufacturing industry for my entire career, I have to say that this is one of the worst designed products I’ve ever used.

Does Not Live Up To It’s Name!
I wish I would’ve read the reviews before purchasing. I encouraged my mother to buy this item, assuming it was as easy and useful as regular Wite-Out; unfortunately, I was wrong. Her very first use of it, the tape came off the spool and I STRUGGLED to get it back on. When I thought I had it, I went to go try it and it didn’t work. Absolutely terrible. Not sure why everyone has such trouble with this..
They work just fine for me. You just have to do the right pressure and do it straight across, no wiggling. I only had trouble with 1 or 2, and it was my fault for not applying the correct pressure-just carefully popped it open and rewound a bit, stuck it back together and it was good to go again. I haven’t had that trouble since and I have been using them for a good decade or longer. Once I discovered these, I never went back to the liquid again. It’s incredibly smooth, adherent, can write on it easily…what more can you ask for?

I had to pry it open and manually wrap around both spools( a huge nightmare!!!!) why is there no opening to fix this?????? This is the worst product that I have ever used. I opened it and it immediately twisted. I’ve watched online videos, tried fixing it, and then it just twists again. We have these type of correction tape in our office and I use them alot. Unfortunately, someone ordered this brand and they’re absolutely terrible…and we ran out of the other brand we had. It worked for the first 3 times then started failing and unwinding and became a big mess. Tossed it straight into the trash and now I’m off to ask my other office folks if anyone has the other type I can borrow until we replace these. I gave this a one star rating because that’s the lowest option. I’d have given it a zero, if able to.

These correction tape dispensers are the best way to solve the problem of fixing a mistake that you may have made on paper, they go on smooth and flat unlike the bottles where you have to brush them on and they usually become all gloggy.

This has to be one of the worst products that I have ever purchased. In theory,it is a great . The packaging unit that holds the correction tape is designed very poorly. I purchased a 4 pack. The first, the tape broke almost immediately. The second and third, did not roll on to the wheel after use, causing it to become unusable. I made the mistake of taking the unit apart trying to fix it twice. Wasted lots of time, and ended up throwing it away. Very frustrating!

While this is the best whiteout I have ever used, I find that this white out tape should have a triangular shaped cover you can snap on and off. I never thought I’d be leaving a review about white out but here we are. This white out is seriously so awful. One was already off the track when I opened the package so had to throw it away, the second one worked once and when I went to use it again it wouldn’t “cut” the white out when I was done, it just kept pulling white out out. I also could hardly find it in the store, it was mixed with all of the pens which seemed odd. It should be on the end of the pen section so it’s easier to find. The Bic Wite-Out is EZ to correct your mistakes. I like it better than liquids since they can be either too liquidy or too clumpy. The only thing that is bad about it is that it skips in some spots so you have to go back over it again. Other than that it corrects very well and is super easy to use. All you have to do is put it right on to where you want to correct your mistake and run it across. After you correct your mistake you can write right on top of it and there is no smudging or peeling. Works Great!
I tried the BiC Wite Out EZ Correct and will not use another brand again. I have tried several different brands of correcter but this is the best. It goes on very smoothly and sticks. It doesn’t pop up making you go back and smooth it back out. When I write on it, it’s like I am writing on paper even with a fine tip pen. It doesn’t scratch off or come up as I am writing over it. Works well
This is one of the better white out correction tapes I have used. Unlike some of the other ones I’ve used before, the white out tape itself rolls on the paper evenly and completely. Needs a little tweaking
Well on the positive side this wite out tape is great when it is working correctly. Unfortunately, I’ve only gotten it to work correctly about half of the time. When it works correctly the tape comes out smoothly and adheres directly to where you apply the pressure at the tip. When it is not working – it has a tendency to skip and thus loosen the tape that the wite out material is dispensed from. There isn’t an easy way to fix things once they go awry so I have just tried to create tension so I can continue to use up the product. Wish the mechanism worked a little bit better because the wite out product works quite well when it can be properly applied. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Best for small erases
I always get frustrated when I make an error using ink. I tried Bic’s Wite-Out Correction Tape. It worked ok but I had a hard time getting the tape to work correctly. When it did work, you have to be careful not to use the tape on the same area more than once, otherwise you won’t be able to rewrite in that area. Also, if you write in big letters, the tape is small and won’t erase in one swipe. For me, I prefer Bic’s Shake and Squeeze. Easy to use and you just dap it on. No tension adjustment
The tape got loose and the problem with this design is you can’t tighten the tape easily. I tried opening the case and fiddling with it but it was still very loose and didn’t roll properly. Other white out tapes have a tension adjuster.

Waste of money
I forgot why I never buy these, so when my child asked for one for back to school I bought her a two pack. Now I remember: the tape always ends up coming out of the cassette and there is no way to wind it back up again! You would think after a decade on the market, they would address or fix this problem. Maybe they think they will get more money because people will buy more of the same shoddy product to replace it when it breaks, but personally they lose me as a customer!

Terrible – I am swearing off this product for good. No tape comes out after the first few times of using and then when I try to fix it the whole thing becomes hopelessly tangled. I get maybe 10 uses out of one roll before I have to throw it away – what a waste of money! Bic, you really need to improve the design of this product.

I love this Wite Out EZ correct pack because you don’t have to worry about knocking over a bottle of wite out, you don’t have to worry about forgetting to close it and getting clumpy chunks on your brush and this is easy to toss in to your bag and go! Don’t waste your money
I used this once and then the tape started to slack, even though the description states that it has a self winding mechanism. I watched a youtube video to attempt to correct the slacking issue only for the whole thing to fall apart and become a tangled mess. Did the company bother to QA the product or put it through a focus group? It would be less frustrating to re-do an entire project than to mess with this useless correction tape.

Worst of a great idea!!!
Granted, this is a great idea. However, The design Sucks!!! Do not waste your money! I have tried several of these, hoping they fixed the design flaw that helps the correction, tape stay tight so that it would flow properly. They have not and so far anything that has been tried, has not worked to fix the problem with this correction tape and how it flows. it is more of a waste of money, time and headache then just waiting for the stupid liquid to dry even though that you still have to put more than one coat and shake it real well. Just so you know, bic Company I have an idea for the perfect design… But only if you’re willing to pay me for it!! Lol just saying guys DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

this product is designed to dispense correction tape from a clear plastic roll of film, then take that used film back up inside itself. But if that film gets snagged and comes loose, it becomes completely useless. I didn’t even get to use one of the rolls at all before it went from useful tool to piece of garbage. At least I didn’t spend much money on it.

Cheap
Gives good coverage when it works. Falls apart easily and is extremely tedious to fix. Very cheaply made. Hard to complain when it’s the price that it is, but I would also just as easily buy one worth a little bit more money if it was more high quality with paper coverage that didn’t rip so easily, maybe stuck a bit better, and an overall mechanism that was not so delicate and tedious to fix or use.
