The sensational conclusion to the massive #1 New York Times bestselling series…

It’s been over three months since my friends and I took down Cyrus. Three months where my biggest fear was what paper was due next… But I should have known it was too good to last. Now everything is falling apart.

The Vampire Court has no king, the Dragon Court has no heart, and the Gargoyle Court has me―a teenager in way over her head. And it’s the worst possible timing, because a threat is brewing just as the Circle is collapsing.

I have no choice but to return to the Shadow Realm and face the terrifying queen who nearly ended us…and make a deal with her to save Mekhi. But this time, I’m bringing my powerful friends with me―and Hudson. Except something is wrong with him, too. He’s keeping a secret―even from me.

All I know is that everyone’s life hangs in the balance. And it’s my fault―because I still owe the Crone a favor…and now she’s come to collect.

I love the chapter titles at the beginning of the book. I’m not gonna lie; I feel like I need a refresh starting this book like a prologue or something to help me remember how the last book ended. But when I finally got into the story, I remembered why I loved it all over again. Grace and Hudson are fantastic characters, and this paranormal series has come a long way; this story is no exception. It is an action, adventure-filled YA book with the perfect amount of paranormal. I’m sad to see this journey that started at Katmere Academy end, but I can’t help looking back and seeing how far they have come. This series will definitely be on my read-it-again list. The author does provide some context clues for us to jump back into this world. Hudson and Grace in San Diego that’s a far distance from Katmere Academy. Their conversation brings back memories of their time and the characters in the shadow realm. So we get a bit of catch-up as Hudson, Grace, Flynn, Jaxson, Eden, and Heather meet up. Aww, the paranormal gang is back, minus a few, and has yet another mission to save friends and loved ones.Like the other books, this one quickly goes beyond paranormal into fantasy with some astonishing supernatural talents and people. Grace has undoubtedly come into her own throughout the adventures in the books, which is very apparent in this one. I love traveling from one place to another and the story effortlessly flowing around the new scenery.Oh, the author gets a little steamy moving this young adult series into new adult territory.Another quest that seems impossible, but this time, we have the whole team of paranormals, and now the previous book with Hudson and Grace makes so much more sense. I love that the hero and heroine are relatable. They aren’t perfect, and the author shows their struggles. Grace’s anxiety is well described. Hudson also seems to have his own reaction to things beyond his control. Adventure, action, and sass make this book fun to read as the team of paranormals navigates one obstacle at a time. The author does keep the steamy intimate scenes more upper Ya in this story, but nothing is well described; nonetheless more understood as mature content. I enjoyed the intimacy between fated mates and how she kept it vague, but the bond is shown. The plot points with the gods and goddesses in this book are interesting, but it doesn’t need to be there. The story was fascinating without the extra supernatural inclusions. The adventures continue in this story, and although it is slow starting, it definitely makes up for toward the end. Everyone goes all out on everything making the scenes very action-packed, from the shadow realm all over the world to a supernatural prison and then back again; this cast and crew of paranormal heroes and heroine fight and deal with all sorts of challenges. At the end of the book, the author gets very passionate with advice having Grace refocus her mind and wants on the ultimate inspirations. This advice can be used and applied to our lives, but it is also prophetic in the story itself. Not quite the ending I was expecting, but I love our heroine changing the paranormal and shadow world. Of course, it can’t just end. There has to be one last exciting, action-packed moment. I enjoy the author’s humor thru her characters, even in the series of adult moments in the story. Grace and Hudson have certainly come a long way in this series, which I want to read again. The author also includes a little LQBTQ+ seamlessly into this book while still keeping it YA. Grace will always be a heroine to me as I have connected with this character on this profound paranormal journey as she goes from broken to a Queen and Demi-God. “And just that easily, the knot that’s been inside forever starting to loosen. And I realize that, no matter what happens, we’re going to be okay”. This story and that quote were the perfect ending to this long series. Still, I enjoyed all the characters, adventures, action-filled moments, and more contained in these pages.

Such a fun story of suspense, intrigue, friendship, love, adventure and action. I really loved it and found it fun and relaxing.

I was a little disappointed because I felt like there were so many storylines that were rushed so that it could end with this book. There’s a pretty big situation that looms over for the whole book and the actual event takes place in maybe 2 pages. It just felt a little rushed. Other than that I did enjoy it. The pages of my book were a little jagged, but I didn’t mind it much.

Just finished this last book today. Definitely not as good as the other 5 but it tied everything together and a nice romp to be with our favorite characters of the book one last time.

Well…I’m really bummed to say I found this book underwhelming. Throughout the book I got the feeling of “I have to finish it, so I guess I’ll throw this in here and then they can succeed really quick and they can come across another issue.”I need to preface that I have really enjoyed this series. I discovered this series not long after my own parents died in a car accident, so these characters/books will always hold a special place in my heart. I started my healing and grief process along with Grace and I will forever be grateful to Tracy for that. This review isn’t coming from someone who hasn’t enjoyed these books.I got about 70% through and was wondering if there was going to be enough time to give the series an ending it deserved, and I found myself very disappointed with that too. Everything got wrapped up really fast and was anticlimactic. Fitting since Twilight also ended in a similar fashion.Grace grew up a lot and matured a lot more, which I appreciated. Hudson is going through some trauma, she recognizes that, puts her own issues aside, and tries to let him figure it out.Really, I wouldn’t give this book a flat 3 starts. Maybe a 3.5, but I couldn’t round up and give it a 4. I do truly hope that most people do enjoy this and my feelings are in the minority. Feeling disappointment when a series is finished is the worst. I think I was scared at the beginning for this book wondering how it was going to end. I don’t feel that way very often, so maybe that was a sign and expectations were higher than they should have been. But seriously fellow readers, I really do hope you enjoyed it and you disagree with my thoughts.****SPOILERS UNDER THIS LINE****I really think this book could have been a lot more, and we know Tracy Wolff isn’t shy about writing longer books. Some of the books in this series were over 800 pages. If she could have given us a little more with some of the characters, I think things could have been a bit better.Like all the books, we have the big challenge and naturally there is going to be adversity and other things that come up that makes the big challenge more difficult to be successful with. In all the books we’ve seen a lot of these random smaller challenges come up, and for the most part I thought they fit really well in the story, and we saw really ridiculous things happen for comedic relief. I didn’t feel quite the same with this book. I felt like some of the things were thrown in there because filler was needed. It was kind of all over the place. You see Jaxon and Flint together and throughout the book you know that they are having issues, Those issues are pretty vague, and then magically they’re fixed without any conversation and everything is fantastic and they become mated. The Crone shows up, Bloodletter throws down super fast, NBD, they fight this human army in a second, then it’s back to being crowned! I was disappointed that the Crone was built up to be this incredibly evil woman, and and they’re able to throw her over really without much issue. Then Grace and Hudson are crowned, announce without any discussion they’re going to make a chamber created from the masses so the high families in the circle aren’t making all the decisions, and sweet, everything is good? It felt really jerky and thrown together at the last second. Then it ends with Hudson telling Grace all his secrecy is he wants to open a school. The end.Thank goodness we at least got to enjoy a baby Smokey.

This was a great group of books that kept taking twists and turns throughout the whole complete story line. Everything that happened made perfect sense in the last book when you find out how all the main characters loves intertwined.

This was a great series that is very easy to become invested in. It’s YA, but anyone interested in supernatural fiction will enjoy it. I’m an adult and I loved every book. I hope Tracy Wolff writes more about Grace, Hudson and their friends in the near future.

It has been three months since Grace and her crew defeated Cyrus and tried to have a shot at a normal life. But like everything else Grace has been involved in, that is not going to be the case. All of the Courts are falling apart, the Vampire Court is without a king, Dragon court missing it’s heart, and Grace herself is in charge of the Gargoyle Court having just come into the supernatural recently. Now, the team must return to the Shadow Realm to try and save their friend and hopefully Grace can save her relationship with Hudson before the Crone comes to collect.I started with this series on Book 1 and couldn’t wait to see how it all wrapped up with this final book. I really enjoyed the series and all the characters but felt a little let down by the way it all wrapped up. Each book had so much action, suspense, romance, drama and more that I was hooked throughout each 500 plus page book. The problem with having a book of this length is you have so many threads to tie up and it becomes almost impossible to answer every little question readers might have. Each book in the series had so much going on and this book fell flat on pulling me in like the others did. At times it felt rushed, but it also felt like a good hundred pages could have been taken out and not affected the outcome of the book. On the other hand, another hundred pages could have been added to answer questions. While this wasn’t my favorite, I am happy to have wrapped up the series. Even though this is labeled as a Young Adult I wouldn’t recommend it to readers that are too young because of all the adult themes and language.

While I loved the majority of this book I will say the very last few chapters minus the epilogue felt extremely rushed. I would have loved to see some of the things that happened off page. All in all this was a wonderful series and I’m so glad I gave it another chance. The 2 main characters have become one of my favorite couples ever.
