A Little Disappointed
I’ve been buying Crayola broadline markers for decades and really I didn’t need more, but saw this color selection that I don’t have and thought I’d add to my collection, especially since the Back to School Prices were incredible Unfortunately the cap color is very different from the marker color, which isn’t the case with their basic colors, and though many of these look pastel, they are actually quite close to the standard colors– e.g. the “mint” green one is very close to regular green. The other issue is that the caps are really hard to get back on; they don’t “click” easily, meaning it’s more likely that the cap will fall off in storage and dry out. I don’t know if I just got a bad batch, but trying the cap side by side next to my old ones, I really had to use a lot of force to close properly. If they weren’t so cheap, I’d return them, but since they were, i’ll just donate to a school supply drive- win-win.

Don’t be like me. These markers are not washable. I didn’t even realize crayola made non-washable markers. Also the few that we tried before realizing they weren’t washable were already dried out as if they had been used before.

I bought these markers for my toddler as they were brighter shades for him to color with. The markers work great, the only downside is it is very difficult for him to remove the caps on the markers on his own. We haven’t had this issue with the Mondo Llama brand or other Crayola markers so could just be this batch? Otherwise they work great.

I always stock up on a few packs of the classic Crayola Broad Line markers around back-to-school time. They’re a high quality, long-lasting marker, as good for quick notes as they are for drawing. This is my first time trying the “Bold and Bright” selection, which I’ve pictured alongside the regular set. Love them! Strong, bright colors — and they’ve included a few blue and green shades to replace the black, brown, and grey. I think these will be my go-to choice in the future.

While I did purchase this set of Crayola markers at a good price I found that they were not true to the color on the cap of the markers nor were they even the slightest bit bleed proof, so for those reasons I had to rate these a 3 out of 5. I love drawing balloons on greeting cards with pastel colors. The Crayola bright and bold pastel markers are great for this. The colors are not as bold and bright as I would like but they still are very pretty. The markers are long lasting and do not dry up fast. They also do not smear or bleed like others.
