UPDATE: 5 months later, this vacuum is still going strong! Zero issues, very handy, and does an amazing job of cleaning my home with shedding dogs. One feature that is fantastic which I did not mention earlier, is the ability to easily remove/clean the roller. Dyson never made anything easy. I referred my friends (also Dyson owners) to this vacuum and they are loving it as well :)I have had Dyson vacuums (2 of them) for the past 15 years. I have 3 large dogs that shed a lot and dark hardwood floors that show everything. I am a bit OCD when it comes to a clean house, so I vacuum daily (as well as I have a Roomba that runs daily). Though my floors looked clean after I vacuumed, the Roomba would find all sorts of hair and dirt that the vacuum had missed. My last Dyson (which is only 2 years old) would take forever to vacuum up hair or dirt (I had taken it to the Dyson repair center and they couldn’t find anything wrong with it). I was looking at buying another Dyson but they are expensive, so I started looking at other options. My options were limited, as I needed a 35-foot cord (I have a large house) and not many vacuums have that long of a cord (and even Dyson only offers a 35- foot cord on some models). I saw his Eureka and the price was right, so I thought I’d give it a chance. WOW! I’ve only had it for a few days but damn, I’m impressed. It sucks up dirt and hair in seconds and I only have to make one pass (unlike the Dyson where I would have to make multiple passes). The head is not as wide as my Dyson so I thought it would take me longer to vacuum, but it actually takes me less time since I only have to make one pass over an area. I also love that the Eureka is considerably less heavy than the Dyson, since I have multiple floors, and carrying the vacuum up and down the stairs is a workout. The ONLY con (which probably won’t affect most people) is I use the hose and wand on all the stairs. The Dyson hose and wand were connected, so it took just a second to pull it off the Dyson and get to work. The Eureka is not constantly connected, so it is a bit of a hassle (but really not that big of a deal) that I have to connect the hose and wand, to vacuum the stairs. If you want a vacuum that is better than Dyson but 1/4 of the price, go with this Eureka!

BUY IT. I was wanting to get a “nice” vacuum but couldn’t afford the “nice” vacuum prices. After reading through reviews on what felt like a million vac listings, I bit the bullet and decided on this one. The suction is AMAZING. I have lots of pets and dirty kids. This vac seriously sucks it all away! I didn’t realize I had a literal LAYER of filth my shop vac was apparently never even touching when vacuuming my carpets. The attachments are perfect. Picks up pet hair like no other. Moving from carpet to hardwood is seamless and incredible. If something is lodged in the roller brush, the brush will shut off immediately and will trigger the red light. So it doesn’t allow you to just keep on going and destroy the vacuum with random crap your kids left under the couches. The swivel works perfectly. The design is sleek and not crazy bulky, while also being tall enough you don’t have to hunch over. Literally the only downside I’ve found is that it doesn’t perfectly vacuum up litter… but most don’t, so it’s not a huge deal. Also, don’t be like me… read the instructions;) turns out you have to press a button to trigger the brush roll, I thought it was broken. But that’s because I didn’t read. 10/10 recommend this vacuum!

I’m an experienced homeowner and have owned many vacs over the years. We’ve purchased low-end, short-term vacs for the kids’ college years and high-end machines for the busy family household years. I bought this one to replace a much older version of itself, and I’m as happy with this one as I was with the first one.Nice, bright LED light; super-easy to assemble; light-weight & easy to carry; self-contained with all of the attachments hooked onto the vac; convenient retractable, long cord; great suction & coverage; not too loud on carpets; fits well underneath furniture legs; easy, adjustable carpet heights and bare floor selections. The on switch is a foot control, then you have to hold down the roller section with your foot and pull back on the handle to drive the vac. It’s a loud plastic clunk, but that’s the way that it works, so time will tell how long it lasts. I have not used the attachments, and I don’t need to pick up animal hair, so I can’t comment on those aspects. It picked up adequately on a bare tile floor, although a little loud running over an uneven hard surface. The canister is easy to release & empty. Not a bad, medium-priced vac, overall.

Well designed. Like being able to easily empty the collection container instead of changing bags. Love the push button cord retriever. The suction is adequate. The attachments work well

I was looking for a basic vacuum cleaner. I don’t have an awfully large townhouse, and most of it is tile or laminate. I just needed something to do basic floor vacuuming, and To have a decent hose to be able to vacuum furniture and area rugs. I got exactly what I paid for, a very cheap vacuum.First let me give you the positives, decently suction on wood or laminate floors, and lightweight. That’s it!The negatives? Where shall I start. The hose to vacuum furniture is so tight, that you really can’t stretch it out to use on anything past your arm length. The suction is horrible, and it has these adjustable vents to help you get “stronger section” which absolutely don’t work at all. The front of the vacuum has a filtering system with a plastic cover. Anytime you bump the front of the vacuum into any piece of furniture the cover flies off. It also has a button so that the brush on the bottom can help remove lint and hair, the only problem is that the lint does not get sectioned up into the machine and stays within the brush. So when you go to vacuum something else all the hair comes off onto the carpet .All the materials on this are made out of very cheap crappy plastic. That includes the handles all the attachment parts the various unhelpful suction vents, the hoses and attachments. I know vacuums are not made the way they used to be, and I was looking for a vacuum to get me through maybe two years. This is not gonna make it. It’s such a frustrating experience to vacuum anything in my house, and I’m already looking for another one. ( I just bought this in August.) Please spend the extra money and get a better quality vacuum, because this is the worst one I’ve ever owned and I am in my 50s! ?

I consider myself the vacuum queen. I am constantly vacuuming with two toddlers and two labs. I have used all different brands some on the high end and some on the low end and this has been my favorite so far. I love the light and the fact that the cord is automatic. Super great quality and the price is unbeatable

Where do you start when something is this bad.Lightweight, yes it is, when you use the attachments/hose it is constantly falling over due to the lightweight nature of the unit. The hose for the attachments is too short. The bristles on the brush are also too short, rather than being a brush it is more of a scraper. The crevice tool is too wide, it needs to be thinner so it can actually get into a crevice. Once you remove the handle for the attachments, how are you supposed to move the vacuum cleaner around? What if you need to move it up or down the stairs while using the attachment handle, there is no way to pick it up if the handle is out and being used. The suction control on the end of the hose will not stay in one position, opened or closed, you are constantly losing suction. The cord being on the right side of the vacuum cleaner is always getting tangled up or in the way. Why did it get moved from the left side? The foot control to lower the unit for use is terrible. It feels as though you are going to break it by stepping on it and the loud snap it makes once it does move sounds as though you already have broken it.The dust cup inside the canister will become plugged with even the smallest piece of paper, greatly reducing the suction. It does pick up pet hair, which quickly gets caught and tangled in/on the dust cup, again reducing the suction. From the start the suction of the vacuum is/was O.K., but nothing great or spectacular. This vacuum cleaner feels cheap in every bad sense of the word. I would avoid this one at all costs, it is not a good vacuum cleaner and right out of the box it feels as though it will not last very long. The only good thing on it are the LED lights, they are good and bright, so you can really see what this vacuum cleaner is not picking up.

I bought this vacuum for our home, because the price was right and it was well reviewed. After having it for six months I can say with confidence that it gets the job done, but man is it loud. It also doesn’t swivel. I wish it would swivel.

My fancy pants high dollar hepa filter vacuum died a couple of days ago. I ordered this Eureka Powerful Lightweight Upright Vacuum and it arrived today. Unboxed, plugged in and it sucked up dirt!!! Seriously, this thing is powerful enough to suck the eyeballs out of a gopher at 50 paces. I highly recommend.

No- this is not a porn review. Works quite well with 2 beautifully sassy girls who have no idea how much dirt they bring into the house on a daily basis. Work’s even better with two husky floofs that shed like skin-walkers and have the temperament of a 14 year old hormonal teenager whome you said ” no ” to. 10/10 emotionally unstable parents would recommend.
