My husband and I love board games. I would even say that we are collectors. We play a lot of games. So you can trust me when I say that this game is worth it! Definitely the top of our list! We laughed so hard! And don’t think that this is just a kids game. We played with a group of 6 adults and all had a great time.

Really fun game! Had the chance to play this with my fiance’s family before playing Catan. Great warm up game to get some laughs…and cause a little bit of distrust. We even had her mom (who was not playing) come over and start messing with us while our eyes were closed. Great time! The rules are extremely simple and the game goes quick. Probably will only play this one about 30 minutes at a time max, but it checks all the right boxes for a simple party game.

It’s hard to write a review about this one! When we played, it was utter chaos. My highly competitive family could not handle it. Pieces were flying all over and people were screaming. It was comical but stressful. We played several rounds and couldn’t work together to build one tower as indicated. The concept is fun. This world work for a calmer family…not for my feral crew!

This was so much fun! I love the game “Secret Hitler” and games like that because when someone is forced to lie at a gathering and others have to fight amongst each other to figure out who the liar is, always makes gatherings so much better! You could vote out the “bad wombat” and start another round and the good wombats can think they made a huge mistake because the paranoia causes you not to work well with others and the “bad wombat” can still win!

This game was super fun and easy to play. All the parts were well made and easy to put together.

This game is great silly fun!
Jenni Davis –
I wish you could play it with just two players, but I really like the concepts. The comic that comes with the game is both funny and informative.

This was not an enjoyable game for our family. There was nothing fun about trying to build towers in a small box one-handed & blindfolded. Part of the game involves guessing who is trying to destroy towers. It’s fairly obvious who is doing the destroying when you’re dealing with an adult male’s hand vs a 7-year-old’s hand.I will say, we all got a good laugh out of the funny book about wombats.

The idea of this game is great and sounds like fun, but the execution just doesn’t work. I bought this for my in-laws for Christmas because we love games, but we tried numerous rounds and it just doesn’t work. It could be the people playing, but everyone just wants to hold their hand on the top of a peg and not move it making it impossible to get anything accomplished. It’s good for laughs for sure but since that day we’ve not touched it and probably won’t.
Anna Forsberg –
We love this game, best for ages 8 and up. We have gifted it many times and everyone loves it.
Anna –
This game is one of my favorites- really funny and really brings a group together. Would highly suggest!
Rigo –
Very unique group game. It’s a lot of fun and more active than your typical board game. overall, Hand to Hand Wombat is a great game for a group of four.
SmartMom101 –
Easy to learn, quick to play! Our family ages 6 to old all love it. I ordered some cheap blindfolds too so there were less concerns with peaking eyes.
Jeni –
This game is a very fun secrecy game, a lot like mafia, but tower building. SO FUN!
schnee –
It’s fine, really. You have to have the right size table so everyone can reach the box. Not all age groups are capable of being the nefarious character. We’ve had to modify the rules to enjoy playing. And we haven’t played in a while.
Jenny –
My children love it.
Joss –
This game was fun to play with the wholeFamily !! Kept us entertained, the instructions weee easy to follow and understand. Setup is easy, we love it!
Elderbee –
6 adults almost peed their pants after playing this game. So much fun!
Kayyou –
Easy to learn and genuinely fun. Everyone was laughing.
Michael C Guido –
The kids had fun playing this game!
Hannah E –
Hard to play with kids, feels like chaos. Cute concept.
Aventinus –
Lame game.. kids and adults were done with it after one round. No idea how this has high reviews… smh…
benjamin bannister –
This game is just like the creator that made it: fun and strange. It requires 3-6 people and would be perfect for a family or a small party. I’m not going to explain the rules but they are simple enough for kids to adults to understand. If you want a fun and unique game, this might be for you.

We learned this game fairly quickly – in typical Exploding Kittens fashion they simply redirect you to a website to watch a video on how to play. Very easy and it works well. You’re basically building pyramids while eyes are covered, in the empty top part of the box. The pieces have little dots sticking out that you can use to count the size. You have to build the pyramids in the correct order to score points. The really difficult part is that one of you is cheating and messing things up. Then you vote to try to kick out the mole/wombat. I like the idea of the game but it did get pretty difficult…it’s one of those games where the chaos is what is supposed to make it fun and it just didn’t work great for me and will impact the replay value for me.

After I read the directions for this game I thought is sounded stupid. I tend toward strategic games that involve playing by strict rules to achieve a worthy goal. Though playing such games is enjoyable, players do not normally laugh out loud and watching others play is not a thing. But playing Hand to Hand Wombat is actually FUN. And it is actually best played with a crowd of onlookers who will probably enjoy it even more than those playing. It works well for small family get-togethers where you have seniors who may not want, or be able to, participate but will love watching others try to complete their assigned tasks. The fact that rules are easily broken by players who are supposed to cover their eyes with one hand, actually adds to the fun. Tendencies are seen. Personalities come out. Joy results.I think this is also a game that works best when you have players from different age groups. It may not work very well for a group of 10 year-olds to play by themselves but a 9 or 10 year-old can easily be incorporated into a group of older players.

Everyone in my family LOVES Exploding Kittens, so we were excited to try this new game by the same makers. We really enjoy Hand to Hand Wombat. And while Exploding Kittens remains our favorite (it’s also much easier to travel with), this game is also a ton of fun. This game assigns a secret mole who tries to secretly destroy what the others are tasked with building. This is possible because the game is played with eyes shut, so no one can see what the other players are doing. But you can communicate with each other, and help each other. The graphics and materials are great. The strategy and game play is fun. My elementary and middle-school aged children really enjoy this game. The adults also enjoy it. This game is a fun way to spend some time together as a family away from the screens. My kids actually enjoy and look forward to playing this game together – keep making more games, Exploding Kittens!

I got this game to add to our family games to play and my kids loved it. It’s kind of silly, but my kids had a great time and they really enjoyed the booklet about wombats. I will say that this might be a better game for them to play with their friends because you play with your eyes closed and you have to stack blocks and figure out who is trying to sabatoge you. My kids always knew when it was me because they could recognize my hands with their eyes closed and just by feel. This wasn’t so easy when it was their friends.

The game is straightforward, depending on how many players there are, there will always be 1 bad wombat and the remaining good wombats will have their own limits to what they can or cannot do to build the tower. The bad wombat will try to sabotage the team by making sure the pyramids built are not in the correct order while the good team does vice versa. Points will be distributed depending on how many pyramids are successfully built by the end of each round. The first to hit 3 points, wins. This is about a 5 to15 minute game. With each round lasting about 90 seconds and a max of 5 rounds, that is about 7.5 minutes + maybe 3.5 minutes for discussion and resetting the pyramids. This is a fun short game that requires a lot of honesty as well. With everyone blindfolded, I can easily perform actions that may not be allowed. The game itself is not portable either, will need a decent size surface to play the game.
Nebti19 –
This relational game is physical and social at the same time. And it requires you to operate with your eyes shut even as you try and determine who’s the traitor in the mix. So it’s a whirl of action and fun, and especially fun as a parent to be watching others play.Good for three to six players, but certainly best for more rather than less. Also, kids have to be able to be trusted to understand the importance of not looking. But in the right crowd, this is great balls of fire fun, kind of like the card game PIT can get fun and wild. Or spoons.Get it. If you play as a family with kids you’ll love it.

Watching my kid cousins can be a little rough sometimes, so we look for games that a few of us can play together. One of the kids is 6 and one is 7, but three of us play together and enjoy the blind chaos of the game. To keep us all honest, we wear those cheap sleep masks from Dollar Tree and that works pretty well. We have played it a ton in the past couple of weeks, with one of them constantly saying they”Wanna play the bombat games!” It’s so stinking cute and the kids have tons of fun. Maybe when they’re older we’ll play more of the games by the folks that made Exploding Kittens… Between them and the Cyanide and Happiness games, they’re go-to games for the grownups, and this is a great starter for the younger ones that shouldn’t be playing the wilder stuff yet. It’s super hands on and crazy chaotic sometimes, but it’s amazing.

My kid’s favorite part about this game was The Oatmeal comic printed in the package. They had fun trying to build or wreck towers, but it was pretty easy to figure out who was the “bad” wombat. They played for about 15 minutes, giggling the whole time, but then decided to go play Exploding Kittens instead.

As much as we love games…and as much as we have heard how fun Exploding Kittens is, we’ve never played it. This game has been fun for the family, though! Whoever wrote the booklet that came in it should write a series of books. It is too funny and silly. It had the whole family laughing before we even got into game play. We like that this is unique compared to our other games. It’s easy to learn and a lot of fun. Plus, the materials are nice quality

Love this game so much! It’d be cool if the creators would make an expansion with different sized towers and different shaped pieces that don’t fit the towers to throw people off.
Sara Reitz –
Fun quick game to play with the family or at a kids party. I suggest using some blind folds, makes for less cheating accusations
Customer Review –
This game is great. Learning how to play is effortless. I can easily teach friends how to play. The thing I dislike most about board games is learning how to play and this game has almost no learning curve. It’s fun to play with a group of 3-4 friends. I like that it’s fast paced and requires physical movement, so I feel like it’s a more active game than most.
Shaun Tabatt –
The best part about this game is that anyone can learn how to play it around 3 minutes. the game is very fun to play and only takes about 15 minutes. The quality of the game pieces is great! This is a great game for the whole family.
BrianP –
To be honest, I’ve never played any of these guys’ games before, though I always heard good things. But this one sounded like good fun for our little family of three. Now every night my daughter asks us to play this, and she always laughs aloud when she thinks she fooled us as the wicked wombat. Overall, a blast to play, very simple rules to follow, and it’s fun for the whole family!
SandyCB –
I played this with my children, who are considerably older than the minimum age given on the box. They had a good time and said they would definitely play it with their friends. For my part, I won’t mind if they take it and forget to return it. It’s not that it’s a bad game. It is easy to learn and play can be fun, but it has a few problems. It bothered all of us that they do not include a timer with the game. Yes, you can set a timer on your phone, but why should you have to? The lower age given on the box is 7, an age too young to expect a cell phone to be a convenient solution. The second problem is that you have to play it with your eyes closed. As you might expect, given the timer issue, there are no blindfolds included. I thought about using sleep masks, but then I realized that there is no real solution for the problem of players cheating. You can close your eyes, cover your eyes with your hand, or cover them with a blindfold of some kind, but there is no way for honest players to know if another player is cheating. Adults and older kids can understand that the game is more fun if everyone plays by the rules, but accusations of cheating could easily derail the game if played by a group of younger kids. Finally, you are grabbing pieces inside a relatively small box top, and your hand constantly bumps into the other players, and the pieces are touched by everyone. Before the pandemic I wouldn’t have thought twice, but now I wonder if it is the smartest choice for game night for areas with a high COVID transmission rate.

all the games from exploding kittens are great. they are such a fun family game to play. we have a blast playing this with our kids. get this you’ll love it.
Azelius –
Easy to explain and play, gets very touchy feely, so make sure you’re comfortable with the people you’re playing with and getting your hand caressed by unknown people.
ReeceDarlene –
Very cute game for most ages. Loved reading the wombat book and encourage any new players to read it prior to playing.
Red Sunset –
This is an excellent game, our family enjoys it!!
Lilah –
We (college age kids) play this game any time we have friends over. It’s always a hit, with tons of laughs and a lot of accusations of cheating. Overall a great game.
Ben T –
My students enjoyed it very much. Though there weren’t enough blind folds. And it goes very quickly. Rounds are over in the blink of an eye.
Atish –
Fun game. Highly recommended
Varun Behl –
This isn’t a very smart game – you’re using one hand to build towers while someone is breaking towers without being caught. It’s a fun starter party game and the rules don’t seem intuitive at first but it got fun after we got used to it
