This has been my absolute holy grail. I love love love this so much. I have combination skin, it’s super dry in certain areas, then oily in others. I have also struggled with acne the past 2 years. I have been on accutane for the last 4 months now and after month 3 I started getting extremely dry and red, irritated skin. This was all new for me since I’m typically crazy oily (but that’s just the meds doing its job!). I had been searching far and wide for a night time occlusive that is also very calming, but friendly for very sensitive/reactive skin. This cream is PERFECT. I would describe it as a balm/cream hybrid. It has no fragrance, no essential oils, is very silky, and I wake up with beautiful hydrated and calmed skin. I think any of the bad reviews are focused on the texture and maybe need to apply it differently. Start with your normal skincare routine and use a regular moisturizer (I use Cerave lotion). Then as your last step apply this product to seal everything in. Take out a small dollop and warm the product up between your fingers until it starts to smooth. Dab little dots all over your face and lightly rub in. I use this every night now as my skin is very dry, but I can imagine this cream would be helpful to people even with combo/oily skin as its not super greasy. Maybe just once or twice a week as a nice hydrating mask. I cant wait to try other products once I’m finished with my treatment!!

10/10 on my fourth jar now! I’ve used multiple high end overnight masks and for people complaining of texture understand it is a mask not moisturizer. It is best applied over a moisturizer as a more effective slugging technique. I think this is a good quality product, however it just didn’t work for me. The product is very thick and jello like. What I mean by that is when scooped out it holds its form, its bouncy and I really have to try to spread it. It’s thick and you have to use the back of your mail to get it out, but it works really well. I use it just before bed after washing my face and I use another Naturium product over it, the Vitamin C Super Serum. Love them both!! I’ve used both without the other before. With just the Vitamin C serum, my skin is very soft in the morning, but still looks dry. With just the overnight cream, it’s moisturized and glowy, but not as soft. They definitely work best together. Obviously using a moisturizer in the morning with SPF is best as well

I have 50+ year old skin that is dry if it is not moisturized regularly and usually only breaks out if it reacts to a product. My skins long time favorite moisturizers were recently reformulated and no longer worked to moisturize it. This left me searching for products that provide enough moisture and don’t cause breakouts. The search left me with a few blemishes and skin that looked dull. I was not use to my skin looking that way. To me, it’s early to write a review after trying a product. However, after just two applications of the intense overnight sleeping cream, I was really surprised to see my skin begin to go back to looking vibrant and moisturized with no irritation. The texture is different–like nothing I’ve ever used on my skin before. It’s like a marshmallow or marshmallow cream. But it doesn’t leave my skin sticky or overly oily, just nicely moisturizered. I personally like it in combination with the Niacinamide and hyaluronic serum and squalane oil. Unless I have unforeseen issues, I plan to continue using this lovely cream.

Do NOT be alarmed by the thick consistency
I had no idea that the consistency of the moisturizer would be thick and like others who have left a review, I thought that what I purchased was a bad batch. It turns out it was not a bad batch. I’ve used this for a little over 2 weeks now and what I’ve liked is that a little goes a long way and because it’s a night cream, it leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated in the AM. I will admit that there is an initial tingling sensation at first application, but that feeling goes away after a couple of minutes. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch but I am not a fan of the texture at all. I like to test products on my hand first and when I tried to dip my finger in the jar, it barely even penetrated the cream. The cream is actually bouncy, like I could bounce my finger in the jar multiple times and not get any product until I dig into it with my nail. I’m really impressed with this cream. I have combination and sensitive skin that gets dehydrated in the winter. This is my second moisturizer from this brand. The 1st wasn’t moisturizing enough it was too light. So i thought this would be perfect. It is super thick and it comes out feeling super heavy and greesy on my skin. I tried it a few more times and noticed my oily areas getting congested. This is too thick for my combination, red skin. Such a bummer I really want to like this brand. I will say it feels nice on my hands and leaves them super soft, that’s how i am using it now.

The texture of this cream in the jar is super weird – like marshmallow fluff almost? But once you rub between your fingers and on your face it turns into a thick, luxurious cream. It absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t leave behind a greasy finish. I’ve been using this as the last step in my nighttime routine 3x a week and I think it’s made a difference in my dry/combination skin. My skin feels softer and more hydrated! I have sensitive, acne prone skin and this has not caused any irritation or breakouts. I love that it’s fragrance free and cruelty free – both important aspects in skincare for me! I think it’s a little pricey for the small jar, but overall I’m impressed and would recommend.

I was really looking forward to trying this cream and have been using it nightly as the last step in my routine for about a week now. I have dry, sensitive skin. It’s fairly hydrating, but not enough so to be an overnight cream for me. My skin soaks it up fast and it is dry again shortly thereafter. Also, due to the texture, I need to use kind of a lot. The fact that it’s still not hydrating enough even when doing that is kind of a bummer. It’s definitely a decent cream, but I likely won’t repurchase.

New strange consistency
I started buying Naturium products about 6 months ago and am growing to really love the brand. I have dry, very sensitive skin and appreciate all the options for my skin type. I have been using this cream for several months, every single night, and have gone through at least 5 jars. I loved it. I just started using my latest jar with the new vegan formula. The consistency is just…off. The old formula was rich and creamy. The new formula is clumpy, somewhat like homemade play-doh. It comes out of the jar in gelatinous clumps, nothing like the original creamy consistency. Product still performs ok, less hydrating than the original. I also have to take much more time working it in my skin since it is so clumpy, which then irritates my reactive skin. Just a very strange consistency unlike any other face cream, not in a good way. Glorious product along with the marine and peptide moisturizers! I use this about once a week at night on days I leave my Niacinamide Gelee cleanser on for a five minute mask. Because my skin is breakout prone, a derm told me when I was a teen not to use moisturizer and so I was always afraid to. Finding these products along with rest recommended in the routine builder has been such a lovely experience! Not only (after some skin purging) have the stubborn blemishes on my cheeks started drying up, not only has the tone and texture of my skin improved, but my fight with dry elbows has finally ended. After moisturizing ( I’ve tried everything on my elbows!) I absently rubbed the excess on my elbows. A bit over a month later and in addition to all the benefits to my face, my rough elbows are soft and smooth. As a housewife on a budget and mother to two young children, acts of pure self care are rare. I can’t go get fancy treatments or book a spa day. Naturium brought the spa to me! I was really excited about this product. However, when I applied it my skin began to burn and turned bright red. I tried washing it off, to no avail, as the burning sensation continued for several hours. The next morning I woke up and my face was completely covered in small bumps that resembled ant bites. It is highly unusual for me to have a reaction like this as I do not have sensitive skin. Perhaps I used it incorrectly. While I am going to keep the product, I will give it to a friend. Maybe they will not have the reaction I did.

Skin the Smoothest I’ve Ever Had And My Actives Worked Better!
I used this mask for the first time last night, and it felt so supple and smooth on my skin. It definitely intensified the feeling of the actives I used, as I got slightly more irritation from my retinol than I usually do. However, this isn’t a negative thing for me! It showed me that this mask does what it promises to do and adds effectiveness to your nighttime treatements. I would recommend using it with actives that you know will not irritate your skin in larger amounts, so if you are building up tolerance to glycolic acid, vitamin a derivatives, or any other potentially irritating ingredient, I would not recommend using this on nights where you are using those products until your skin feels very comfortable with the treatments you use.

I was VERY nervous to try this out as I am generally pretty weary with moisturizers never mind something this thick. I have years and years of acne all over my face no matter what I did and after lots of time learning about my body and skin I finally have it under control but anyone who has dealt with this can still have in the back of their mind the scaring experience of that feeling. So anywho! I was nervous to say the least when buying this cream because I had finally gotten over the fear of putting moisturizer on my oily/acne prone skin two years ago, but everything that I had put on was always on the lighter side and I researched the heck out of it ahead of time and would generally run by my esthetician. This past winter I really started to realize that being nice to my skin and not exfoliating SO much whenever I feel my skin looks dull and instead give it moisture changed my life. So after coming to this realization I decided I would buy a thicker cream to put on at night that would help replenish my skin as I slept. I kid you not this stuff is magic!!! I became obsessed with Susan Yara a year ago and have religiously watched her skincare videos, so I trusted her when she said she would use this moisturizer as a top “eclusive” layer to her nighttime routine. This stuff does not break me out or clog my pores at all, I wake up in the morning with porcelain looking skin that is as soft as a baby’s butt. If you are on the oily/acne-ic side and are on the fence of trying it just DO IT! I feel like so many people with oily acne prone skin think that we are almost at war with our skin and have to “tame” it into submission and acting “good”. I promise if you are nice to it and moisturize and treat it gently it will get so much better than being aggressive. Plus if you don’t like this for your face it would make a wonderful cream for hands/neck and chest. 🙂

I have dpst type skin which has really been suffering this winter bc of my retinol usage. If I don’t use retinol, I break out, but when I use it, my skin is so dry in my combination zones- eyelid, cheek, upper lip, chin. Add in the mask factor and my skin is crazy irritated and dry:( This rich moisturizer has saved my skin this winter season. I kept looking for a rich overnight cream that wouldn’t be too heavy and oily feeling. I love the formulation of this. It glides on silky and smooth and doesn’t give any overly greasy feeling but at the same time, it’s incredibly rich and thick (not light/medium moisturizer). I’ve tried other overnight creams that were also targeted for all skin types, but those were way too light. This rich moisturizer has been saving my skin barrier and leaving my skin plump and soft in the morning. For those who are acne prone and hesitant about this product (especially those who have oily/dehydrated or acne-prone/dehydrated skin), I highly highly recommend. Instead of aggravating my acne prone skin, this moisturizer has been soothing and decreasing the frequency of my breakouts.

This saved my skin! I normally have combination-oily skin, but ever since I started using tretinoin cream, I was waking up with dull, flaky skin. Using a thin layer of this after applying tret has left me with soft, supple skin when I wake up in the mornings. The texture is thicker but it sinks into the skin without leaving it greasy or just ‘sitting on top’. I don’t have issues of it getting on my pillow case. Although this product is clearly noted as safe for acne prone skin, I have had nothing but breakouts since using it. I am acne prone and I used the Naturium Ingredient guide to check the contents before buying and felt confident in my purchase. When I decided to Google the ingredients and look outside what is listed on the website, I discovered that it contains several comedogenic ingredients that I believe are the cause of my breakouts. I wanted to love this product and brand. I really appreciate the level of transparency they are trying to deliver, but I feel like I was mislead.

All I can say is WOW! I’m definitely the type to scan reviews before using any product because of the finicky skin type and I have been looking for a good finishing product to end my nighttime routine on nights when I need extra hydration. I’m glad I got this before it sold out, and right before winter in New England because my skin needed this! I tend to get a little dry/dehydrated with patches of skin flaking off when it’s particularly cold out, and this entirely makes it go away, even when used just once a week. If I skip a week, I can tell and so can my skin, that’s for sure… My skin is sensitive (as in, cries while reading poetry kind of sensitive) and oily, think I might have “acne-rosacea” too, as I am very prone to redness and breakouts if a product disagrees with me. This has given me no issues, just supple and hydrated skin, it’s a godsend! I’m waiting on the restock so I can get my brother one. He loved it after I let him sample it and he is blessed with having normal skin from my mom’s side (lucky). This product is entirely worth a try and won’t break the bank, and even if you don’t like it for your face, it can work on dry areas like feet or hands too!

Not for severe dehydrated skin
Initial thoughts: glided on easily, no need to warm it up in your hands before applying, had a luxurious feel, provided good moisture to the top layer of the skin. Thoughts after several uses: while I can tell that this product would be beneficial for someone with more balanced skin, it does not provide enough moisture throughout the night to keep my sebum from going into overdrive. I awoke with very oily skin when I used this as my nightly moisturizer. I considered that this may not be formulated for what I was using it for so I pared it with a moisturizing serum and I had more success the next morning; but, I still had a lot of extra oil on my face that I do not have when I use other moisturizers. However, it is a good product for the neck and chest area. I just do not think I am a good fit for this product. It was non irritating, which is a definite plus!

Miraculous
Skincare products in general aren’t supposed to magically work overnight, but this night cream seems to be an exception. My acne-prone combination skin was recently feeling raw and dehydrated. My water cream moisturizer just wasn’t enough despite mixing in more squalane. With this night cream, I was pleasantly shocked to find dramatic visible and palpable improvement in my skin the next morning. The hydration and glow lasted throughout the day even after rinsing off. My skin has only continued to improve with nightly use. It’s not too heavy or greasy for my combo skin, and I haven’t had issues with clogged pores. Honestly, this was such a miracle product for me. So glad I took a chance on it!

Best Hydrating Cream
This is by far the best cream that I have used for hydrating purposes. Upon using it for the first time, I found the product to be silky but not overly heavy. When I woke up, my skin was very dewy and looked moisturized. It was easy to rinse off my face in the morning. Following, my skin continued to look moisturized and dewy. This look continued throughout the day. i received several compliments from co-workers noticing my “glow.” I definitely recommend this product.

I absolutely am loving this overnight mask. I have extremely dry skin, that gets irritated easily. I had been looking for an overnight mask when I found this one. A lot of other overnight ones are too sticky or pull of the skin. Not this one. It’s hydrating, creates beautiful barrier over my skin, and I can instantly see a difference. I live in the desert, so this really helps keep all my hydration in and Help with my redness and pores. Love it. Hope to see other similar products.

I can’t explain how much I love this product. I have tried many other deeply hydrating night moisturizers and overnight masks and I always come back to this one. Heavy layer at night and I wake up with baby soft skin. This product is not sticky at all like Naturium’s Marshmallow Root one. There is nothing I would change about it.

This is awful
This cream made my skin burn and it broke me out horribly. Same with the other moisturizer from Naturium. I wanted something intense for times when my skin needed more moisture and this sits on top of the skin, won’t actually absorb, and then left comedones all over my face. It was disgusting and painful.

Fantastic, keeps my skin bouncy and healthy overnight. My skin is prone to being very oily during the day but rough/dry overnight. Somehow this stuff keeps me hydrated and bouncy overnight without getting oily (on top of toner, serums, and snail mucin) so that my skin is in decent shape in the morning. Very happy with this and I don’t go a night without it.

This product came just in time for me to use after treating Rosacea with a sulphur product that is healing but very drying to the skin. Use as last step for the softest skin ever
I wear this on top of my other skin care products to act as a mask that holds everything in. I wash my face, apply serums, then moisturizer, then oil, and this last. It seals all the products in and I wake up with the softest, supplest skin of my life! I don’t know that I would use this as a moisturizer on it’s own—it was marketed to me a sleep mask, not a moisturizer and I wonder if that is the reason for some of the negative reviews? The nights that I forget this step, my other products don’t seem to work nearly as well.

I was so excited about using this cream. I have reactive skin and this cream looked like it may calm down my flare ups. Alas itvwas not meant to be. Odd consistency. Remibds me of crumbling marzipan. Difficult to spread on skin. Some nights it pills, some nights it just sits on my skin. Will use it as hand cream now.
