The recipes in this book are actually things you would eat rather than just put out for display. They’re easy to make too. Perfect for Halloween, but full of good things to make year ’round.
Heather –
Wonderful official cookbook with great illustrations. The recipies are themed Harry Potter foods and not actual stuff they would eat in the books or movies per say. Nonetheless, still enjoyable for any fan. I gave this as a gift and can’t wait to see her put it to use!

Got this for my SIL for her birthday and she loved it. Such cute recipes. Also very cute and perfect for a coffee table book!

I liked the fun facts and all the pictures. Wish there had been a butter beer recipe. Some of the recipes seemed a bit much for kids to make.

My daughter loves to look through this cookbook. She’s a huge Harry Potter fan, and the book has so many great pictures of interesting food. We haven’t actually made any of the recipes yet – they’re a little too adventurous for my daughter’s taste – but she has read through it more times than I can count. Very well made and creative.

Ok, but not great
I purchased “The Official Harry Potter Cookbook: 40+ Recipes Inspired by the Films” as a gift for my son, who is a dedicated Harry Potter fan. He had been eagerly anticipating this cookbook, hoping to recreate some of the magical dishes from the series. However, I must admit that both my son and I were a bit disappointed with the content. While the cookbook does offer an array of recipes inspired by the Harry Potter films, it lacks the direct references we were hoping for. The recipes felt more like general party food with a whimsical twist, rather than authentic dishes from the wizarding world. We were both hoping for a more immersive experience, with recipes that closely resembled those mentioned in the books or seen in the movies. That being said, the cookbook still offers some fun and creative recipes that fans of the series might enjoy for themed parties or gatherings. The presentation and design of the book are delightful, and it’s a nice addition to a Harry Potter fan’s collection. However, for those seeking true-to-the-source Harry Potter recipes, this cookbook might fall short of expectations. In summary, “The Official Harry Potter Cookbook” is more about inspired dishes than faithful recreations, making it better suited for those looking to add a magical touch to their gatherings rather than for fans seeking the genuine taste of the wizarding world.
