Don’t be fooled by the author and the intended audience for this book. I’m a 20 year veteran and I wish I had this book when I first retired from the military. Michela’s structure makes this book so actionable and an easy read. It is practical and as a 24 year HR pro, I 100% agree with everything to writes about the resume, interview, and definitely chapter 6! She did a great job of weaving her own experiences, lessons learned, along with experts and senior executives. Parents, give this book to your college grad. Veterans, read this book one year prior to separating or retiring. This book rocks! Best pro dev book I’ve read in 2024.

I love the information in this book. Especially around writing my resume so it can stand out and pass the automated systems. I haven’t applied for a job since college and it wasn’t like this back then. Very helpful!
