About the Author
Nic has a background in political science and before being struck by the writing bug worked odd jobs around the world (including but not limited to massage therapist in Mexico, gardener in Italy, restaurant manager in India, and Berlitz teacher in Belgium). When he’s not writing he enjoys curling up with a good (comic) book, watching British crime dramas, French comedies or Nancy Meyers movies, sampling pastry (apple cake!), pasta and chocolate (preferably the dark variety), twisting himself into a pretzel doing morning yoga, going for a run, and spoiling his big red tomcat Tommy. He lives with his wife (and aforementioned cat) in a small village smack dab in the middle of absolutely nowhere and is probably writing his next ‘Mysteries of Max’ book right now.

This was a fun and quick read. It feaures two women who can speak with cats and the adventures of two great feñline friends on an ocean cruise.

As usual Mr. Saint wrote a great book keeping me riveted to it. I especially liked Chase rescuing our 2 cats from the seagulls. A great ending for the story!
Ron Henderson –
Not he first book I have read narrated by a cat but maybe the best. Kept me engaged till the end.

Finally, Odelia & Chase get their honeymoon! Off they go with Max & Dooley, sailing into the Caribbean sunset for 10 days of peace & quiet! Yeah, right! Where Odelia & the crew go, trouble follows! There’s a murder the first night at sea & everyone us a suspect. And, in the middle of the investigation, Max & Dooley face a threat from the air! Can the big-boned Blorange cat & his buddy solve the crime, save the day, or even just themselves from “sleeping with the fishes?!” Thankfully cats float & these cats have more than nine lives! Such a fun book! But all of Max’s tales are fun, each better than the last!

As we found out a few books back, Max and Dooley do not like water so what are they doing on a cruise? Has Marge and Tex’s home been restored? And where are Harriet and Brutus in all this?I love that Max and Dooley are broadening their horizons. They also experience a couple of new skills they develop. So great that they are in a new environment but still continue their sleuthing. And so glad I’ve been with them since book one to watch them grow, change and make new friends and acquaintances.

So this book took an interesting trip, a cruise as a honeymoon for Chase and Odelia and of course Max and Dooley went along. They had an interesting adventure, but ended up loving it.

Odelia and Chase Kingsley has gotten married and the family has sent them on a Caribbean cruise for their honeymoon. Of course Max and Dooley go with them. They meet up with a rapper who is in the next cabin and he has a $20 million dollar diamond embedded in his forehead. When Lil Thug is murdered ship security asks Chase and Odelia to help them solve the crime. Max and Dooley meet up with some nefarious seagulls who try to carry them away.

I liked that justice prevailed. That Ruby was exonerated. That Max and Dooley weren’t eaten by the sea gulls. That Bertha was shown to be a fraud. And most of all the honeymooners were back on track with theirHoliday.
