Quality of game is excellent. A definately juvenile game. Can play the whole thing in 20 mins. Cute. But not really adult type game

It’s a great addition to any GBBS enthusiast’s collection. It’s not … anything like the show in how you play, but it is fun in It’s own way!

Game is super boring.

I bought this game as a Christmas present for my family, as we all love the Great British Baking Show and we also play lots of board games. This game is quick-to-learn and a lot of fun. It’s not overly complicated, so it was great to play with my parents, who regularly play pretty simple, straightforward games. While my brothers, sister-in-law and I prefer games with more strategic elements, we still enjoyed this game and it was a good fit for playing with the whole family. Though the game only has slots for four “bakers,” you can easily get other people involved by having some people act as “judges” who check the desserts and score them using the scoring rubric the game provides for each recipe. We even had someone be the “host” who chose and explained the recipes. In essence, this game is a speed game. You’ve got to flip through the deck to find the ingredients you need in the order you need them and manage your discard piles so you don’t bury ingredients early that you will need later. You’re trying to do this faster than your opponents so you can grab the timer tokens first. The sooner you get done, the more points you score. If you’re the last player left working on your bake, time runs out and your bake is incomplete. Your bake is then scored according to various levels… “Soggy Bottom” (a less than perfect combination of ingredients but still complete), “Great Bake,” (a complete bake that met all the ingredient requirements), and the “Hollywood Handshake” (a bake that completed more difficult bonus requirements). There’s also room for an expansion for this game (which I would love to see happen) that would allow for more players and include more ingredients and more recipes. The only drawbacks to this game are really just that I would have loved to see some more recipes included (though there are quite a few) and the fact that I haven’t really found the “bin” token to be that useful or necessary, though I guess it is nice to have as an option, even if it doesn’t get used often.Overall, a great, fun game, especially for those in your family or gaming group that aren’t into games that require a lot of thinking or strategy.

I bought this for my niece, we played it for her birthday and we loved playing it. Fun game, easy to figure out and it didn’t take too long.

Best for younger children

Lovely game. Everyone has their own playing board so there is few opportunities to work against each other which I prefer. You just work on your dessert throughout the round and try to finish as the fastest and best baker. We did have to implement some house rules around basically two handing the setup. There is also a large disadvantage to new players with the specificity in the rules. Overall Fun game that everyone has enjoyed playing.

I didn’t actually play this game (yet). It was for mom and Nolan, and they seemed to joy it very well.

Most of my extended family has advanced degrees. However the rules and procedures in this game were totally beyond us. I was so excited to give this to my ten year old nephew because he loves the show. Huge disappointment
