Decent vacuum
Heavy but worked well. Swivel was good and detach for the stairs worked. Picked up dirt well.

Quit working
Worked good for about a year, then just quit on me, has no power!

Powerful vacuum
I saw this vacuum on several of the best vaccums lists so I high high hopes when buying this. It’s even better than expected. I only wish it was slightly lighter and quieter, but it’s a truly excellent vacuum.

Total junk do not buy
I love shark products but this one is a big NO! I don’t even have the energy to share all of the things that make it the most frustrating vacuum I’ve ever used. It clogs at the drop of a dime which I think is a product of the “no hair” feature? Who knows. You basically need two hands over carpet because the roller doesn’t move and yet the suction is still somehow horrible. And now after a few months it’s completely broken? What the hell. My old NV70 is basically treated like a shop vac and still works beautifully. I wish they still made that one. A simple beautifully made machine.

Brush clogs fast!
In general it’s ok. Moves pretty smoothly but is too heavy and falls over easily. I’ve used it maybe 5 times and had to cut out hair from the brush. It’s like it didn’t even try to suck it up! Never seen that much hair clog a vacuum so fast. Kinda disappointed.

Poor performance from this product
Worked well for about six months. Even with regular maintenance it has not held up. It’s now better at moving dirt around my floors than actually picking it up. My household has three cats so if you’re a pet family I wouldn’t recommend this product. I bought this in 9/23 and it’s already needing to be replaced. Seems to be engineered for failure. Very disappointing. Will go back to Dyson as my last one of those lasted for 10 years.
The Shark Navigator Sucks –
Let me tell you why the Shark Navigator sucks.
1. The hose connected to the motorized floor nozzle is easily dislodged while vacuuming around furniture. 2. The exhaust vent on the vacuum faces forward and down. This causes the vacuum to blow much of the dirt and dust away from you and around the room before the vacuum can capture the debris.

A piece of crap
I have 2 other shark vac.. no issures… this 100 repair 2 months ago and now beater bar will not work… they make it so hard to take apart to see if it’s the belt… just two years old

Not worth it
Everything. This doesn’t do anything for my high carpet

Love
2nd time buying it. Absolutely love it

Great suction
Love it. Works well on short carpet and hardwood. Pretty heavy but otherwise easy to maneuver and has good suction.
CG –
Excellent
Versatility and easy to maneuver. Air flow can be adjusted to accommodate carpet or floor. Strong suction power!!
WiscoMom –
Easy, light, and great suction
Love this vacuum! You can easily adjust the strength of the suction with a turn of a knob at the top by the handle which is so convenient! The canister is easy to empty and keep clean. You can also easily separate the top hose to reach cobwebs, or get in small areas. Great choice for a house with carpet!

Powerful Suction Causes Harder to Push
Because the suction is so powerful it adds more work to your work (vacuuming). Very hard to push the vacuum cleaner-needed to use two hands at first. After contacting Shark support I learned there is a suction adjuster on the handle of the vacuum, only need one hand to vacuum now but still takes more muscle than average. Decided to keep it – nice to use on hard surface floors and I only have two rooms with carpet.

Dont waste your money
I was very excited to get this machine. We have a Dyson but looking to have another cleaner for the main floor. I have used this a handful of times as it is for an area we rarely use. It has just stopped working. Using it and it just turned off. I thought it came unplugged but it just had quit working. Ugh. Money down the tubes.

Efficient vacuum. I feel like it could be better but it works pretty well
It gets the job done

Great vacuum
Easy to use – does a great job!!

Love it
So far, so good! Filled the canister after just two bedrooms – and this is AFTER using my old Dyson!

Highly Recommend
Easy to assemble. The suction power is absolutely amazing. It moves around so easily. It gets up all the messes left on my carpet and hardwood floors from my two toddlers and dog.

Too small and just okay
It’s okay. Does work but really small. All vacuums in 2024 are trash. Doesn’t matter $100 or $500. Crazy. A simple vacuum that works good is impossible to find.

Run, Don’t Walk! This is a MUST!
LOVE this vacuum! My previous vacuum was some random off Amazon, and I just vacuumed before using the Shark Lift Away and after just vacuuming it with my original thinking it did the job, I used the Shark and SO MUCH dirt, hair, dust came up, the container was already filling up, I felt disgusted and amazed all at the same time!! This is a must buy if you’re in the vacuum market! Reasonably priced too!

Two step cleaning
This is a great, deep clean vacuum. However, it works best to pre-vacuum with a less sensitive machine. After a year or so, my vacuum no longer delivers debris from the roller to the canister, despite all channels being clear. I’m kind of sad about this, because it is such a great deep clean. If you decide to purchase, make sure to maintain the filters regularly and pre-vacuum or sweep the area first.

Awesome vaccum
Best vacuum ever. Incredible suction, good side canister. Highly recommend it. Great product.

Suction is very strong

Hoses ripped after about a year
I LOVED this vacuum when I first got it. I was so impressed with its suction. However after about a year both/all hoses tore. I used the top hose regularly, so I guess I can understand the wear and tear there, but the bottom hose was almost never touched and still ripped.

Love the Shark Vaccum
I have another Shark that we have had for 15 plus years without a single problem. My wife contols it so I decided that I needed my own. Used it for the first time today and WOW does it clean. Good price compared to others and fast shipping.
doostin –
Very pleased. Love that it’s a completely sealed vaccum
Purchased this since it’s a completely sealed vaccum-meaning you’re not just spreading dust all over the place while vaccuming since all of the connections are sealed and the exhaust is a HEPA filter.

Perfect Pet Hair Vacuum
When we moved it was perfect to transport. The vacuum comes apart in 3 parts and carrying it down 3 flights was a breeze. The detachable hose and “bag” is AMAZING for going up and down the stairs without lugging the whole thing. My whole floor is laminate and I don’t have to worry about the back pain of sweeping when I can just run this vacuum through the house. Not to mention GOODBYE PET HAIR !! It starts off a little heavy but you get used to it.

Great suckage
Sucks great. Even though my entire house is hardwood i can tell that it has great suckage.

Good
I bought this vacuum a year ago. I clean houses and airbnbs so I use this vacuum A LOT! I have a few pros. A few cons. I like the suction. As long as you clean the filter and the debris container regularly, suction will remain greatly. The hose isn’t as useful as my other Shark vacuums. This one doesn’t stretch far enough and this causes the vacuum to fall over a lot. The hose spilt after a year but I did order a replacement part from Amazon so it’s back to new. Another real hassle is the fact that the power cord is attached to hose extender. So if you wanted to use the hose for something, you’ve got to unwrap the entire power cord. The attachments are okay but I wish this model came with the brush with the bristles. I use that brush attachment from my other Shark. Make sure you clean the roller brush at the bottom. The vacuum is super light so that’s very important for me.

Vacuum doesnt stay together
The suction and features are nice, however I cannot use it with the brush roller because every time I pull the vacuum back the arm pulls out and the whole vacuum falls to pieces. I feel like to detach the arm there should be a latch vs a quick release button. I’ve used it once and it fell apart on me 6 times. I will be returning.

Great buy
Love that it quiet, light and sucks up every hair in carpets. Two weeks so far so good.

Dont buy
Terrible vacuum. Pieces don’t stay on. Poor design. I would love to return, but app says it’s not eligible for return. Buyer beware. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

Mostly happy
We wanted to buy another Shark after our first one that lasted 15 years. The new one does the job well but there’s an annoying design flaw: I have to use my hand to empty the canister every time because it gets stuck. I was aware of a shorter cord and smaller canister than my previous Shark so I’m not unhappy about it. I just hate having to pull out the dirt and hair by hand. I also wish Shark included more accessories (especially an extension tube!) that came with my old one.

Dont believe the hate
Had this vacuum now for a few weeks and she is running great! I was concerned about getting this vacuum due to the reviews but I haven’t had any issues with the size, sounds, or suction. It much quieter than the Bissell I had as well as much more powerful. Tip: make sure to clean out the brush roller every now and then especially if you’re a pet owner and your pet has long hair. I’ll follow up on this after the 1 year mark

Terrible
Broke after on the 91st day! Waste of money

Worst kickback
I hate this vacuum. The kick back is so bad it Would be easier for me to scoop up the crumbs with my hand.

A housework workhorse
I initially bought this trusty steed when my husband and I were living in a small NYC apartment. Now, 4 years, 2 kids and a move to a suburban house later I am only just starting to contemplate retiring her. For the price there is no better vacuum. She handles almost like a Dyson, but costs a fraction of the price. Sure cleaning the filter is a bit gross, and the cord could be longer. But for the price, it’s a no brainer.

I found what i was looking
I like it. Is very good vacuum

Great vacuum
Returned this item upon pickup since the one left in store was a used vacuum and staff member I dealt with was extremely rude! I bought the same one on Amazon to return the Same exact one that I had for years but a repair person knocked over and cracked .. this is a very good vaccum the hepa filter is great.. it’s got Powerful suction.. gets all the dog hairs:. My friend got had it also and got The cordless version and said it’s not as powerful fyi

Go to vacumn
This vacumn is great. For our dog household it picks up everything, is easy to clean and easy to use. The attachments vary and also help with various cleaning areas. Highly recommend.

Theres better out there
This is not my favorite vacuum. For reference: I have one medium sized dog (cocker spaniel in which we groom every 3 or 4 months) one toddler , my husband and I. Wood floors and area rugs in each bedroom and living room/hallway.). On the area rugs it’s SO hard to vacuum because it sticks to the rug, but if I put it on different settings, it won’t suck up the dirt. When I use the vacuum to clean the sofas, it tips over from how heavy it is. I’ve had this vacuum for 1 year before writing this review

On my third one and love it
I am about to buy my third vacuum of this model. The first one I had for several years, I decided to replace it with the same vacuum because I’d liked it so much. The second one worked for almost exactly three years and now I need to replace it again because the attachment hose finally tore in half. We really beat our vacuums up. In our new house, that we’ve lived in the same amount of time I owned the second vacuum, we have high pile carpet that needs powerful suction. We also have a long haired German shepherd, multiple cats (who are now outdoor) and four kids. We track in dirt, sand, all kind of debris from outside besides animal and human hair. I also cleaned houses part time for a couple of years and would occasionally take my vacuum with me. It may not be as light as some of the “rocket” or cordless vacuums but the suction is absolutely worth it. It is not a perfect vacuum but I am happy to pay $150 for my third one because I know it works and does what I need to do.

Dog Hair Collector
It picks up the dog hair that our old vacuum didn’t. I like the suction adjuster on the handle so I can vacuum different types of floors.
Disappointed –
Loved at first – now disappointed
I brought this vacuum about 3 to 3.5 years ago and loved it until it stopped on me. It cut off in the middle of vacuuming today. For the price it should last longer.
Love a Target Trip –
Choose A Different Model
I don’t know who is on the team that designs vacuums, but I don’t think they’ve ever vacuumed a day in their lives. I purchased this “deluxe” model and that adjective is stretching it. Very hard to manipulate on carpet, machine is heavy, attachments are worthless. I’ve resorted to using attachments I’ve kept from previous vacuums. They don’t fit properly but I make them work. Having mostly hardwood floors, I miss having a light on this model to make it easier to see dog hair. Going to my local hardware store and see if they might have a light I can attach. The only reason I gave 3 stars rather than 2 is because it does have great suction. Let’s hope that continues because it’s already making a funny noise when I shut it off. Purchased a week ago. I’ve had great experiences with Shark products in the past, but I would not purchase this model again. Maybe I should have gone with 2 stars…

Some poor design choices, returned it and got a different brand
Some poor design choices, returned it and got a different brand – Power cord coils between wand and base, so you can’t pull the wand out without uncoiling the entire cord. Very inconvenient if you just have a quick job not far from the power outlet. – The lower tube at roller brush section fell off in the first 20 minutes of use. Having to constantly reattach that during normal us for the lifetime of the vacuum would have been super annoying. – Most separations require both hands and are awkward. Ideally the button to separate would be accessible from the handle or by a foot switch (the canister unit handle, the wand handle, etc). Instead, it’s both hands to remove the wand, both hands to lift off the canister, and the latch buttons are small and not the easiest to use. – The power switch is too low, not convenient to reach – There is no carpet height adjustment leading to the vacuum getting stuck due to the (admittedly very powerful) suction. When using it on carpet, you’re supposed to open the bypass valve to lower the suction. That does work, but it’s annoying to use and often wouldn’t be necessary if the base just had a little more clearance over the rug. – The suction bypass is a ring on the wand you have to rotate and is awkward and inconvenient. Other than the hose falling off, all the functions of the vacuum work, they’re just not very well thought out. We ended up returning it and getting a Bissell 2998. It’s the same general design with lift-off, removable wand, HEPA filtration, similar attachments, etc… but made much smarter. The brush roller has more clearance at the floor, the suction valve is a simple slider accessible by your thumb right on the handle, the cord wraps only around the canister and not the wand, and the detachment buttons are bigger and easy to use. The power and brush roller buttons are still not convenient to reach, but that’s a consequence of the removable wand design. It’s equal or better than the Shark in every way (it also has LED lights at the roller). We waited for it to go on sale (discounts of 20% or more happen all the time) and got it for only $10 more than what we paid for the Shark.

This vacuum is a toad.
After reading many reviews, i purchased this vacuum to replaced our previous Shark vacuum that died after many year’s of use. We loved our previous vacuum. This one, however, is a toad. It takes all my strength to push it across the carpet. There is no light, the attachments are ill-fitting and do not have enough suction to do their job. The vacuum itself has tremendous suction, but it jams itself up on carpet. Pick another vacuum.
