I wasn’t settling for contentment. I wanted love. I wanted passion. I wanted a man who stole my breath when he walked into the kitchen. Who kissed me and made the world melt away. Who would make every day an adventure.

Overall Grade: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️It wasn’t a hardship reading Devney Perry aka Willa Nash’s The Brazen. Not. In. The. Least. Why? Well, for one, she is a go-to author for me for small-town romance. If she writes a book, I’m devouring it in a single sitting, and The Brazen is no exception. Secondly, this newest book in her Calamity Montana series is my favoritest of favorite tropes: enemies-to-lovers.We’ve met her heroine in the earlier books of this series, The Bribe and The Bluff: Kerrigan Hale. This character is everything you LOVE in a woman: independent, tenacious, industrious, and creative. She takes life and makes it her b*tch. In The Brazen, she encounters Pierce, the grandson of her mentor, Gabriel. A tragedy has befallen his family, and he’s in Calamity to call on the loan his grandfather offered Kerrigan for her enterprise. From the first moment these two meet, it is an explosion of hate and attraction. For the first third of the book, maybe even the half, these two can’t help wanting to be around each other while also wanting to strangle the other. And that is manna to this romance reader’s soul. I could eat of that over and over again. Why? Because the deeper the initial hate, the greater the fall into love and lust. This is the entire case with The Brazen. Kerrigan and Pierce are fated, and their journey is fraught with lots of obstacles: past secrets, future landmines, and Kerrigan’s unsupportive family. However, what makes The Brazen an absolute must-read is the evolving romance between these two. If you’ve read enemies-to-lovers, then you know the hero falls HARD. With that in mind, you will want to read this story.I inhaled this book. It’s a quick read because Willa Nash aka Devney’s style is fluid and accessible. The story breezes over the page, and Kerrigan and Pierce’s love story pulls you through their book. Interestingly enough, the characters of the first two books of the series only have brief cameos; however, we meet the Hale family in full force. Maybe…there might be stories in Kerrigan’s siblings’ futures. Who knows? If you’re hoping for more of Lucy and Everly, there isn’t much. Instead, you’re treated to the next couple in the Calamity Montana series, Nellie and Cal. If you think Kerrigan and Pierce are fireworks, I think Devney is saving the best for the last. The Brazen is a stunning story about letting go of the past through embracing the vessel of love. It’s a tale that is exciting, emotional, and engaging, and it will tug at your heart while titillating your soul. It’s another piece of evidence for why Devney Perry/Willa Nash is an instant one-click for my Kindle.

The Brazen is fabulous. I loved every moment of this one. You get the angst, family drama and you feel so much love flowing through the pages. Kerrigan is so driven, sweet and loves her town of Calamity. You feel for her with everything she faces when it comes to her family and her business ventures. I love how she is trying to breathe life back in her small town and she doesn’t back down when it comes to Pierce. Pierce is a bit grumpy when you first meet him. He is fueled by anger and merging his company with his late grandfathers. You get why he is the way he is the more you read. You feel the chemistry build more and more with Kerrigan and Pierce each time they meet. I love the banter between Pierce and Kerrigan so much. I love how they come together and help each other and push each other. This gave such amazing feels. I cannot wait for more to come from the Calamity Montana series.

Wow I wasn’t ready for this book at all ? It exceeded my expectations for Kerrigan’s story. Devney Perry truly writes magic. The Brazen —book 3— is hands down my favorite in the Calamity Montana series so far ????

Kerrigan and Pierce’s story did not disappoint. Kerrigan loves taking something ugly and make it into something beautiful. I feel that’s what she did with Pierce.Pierce had to deal with his grandfather’s estate and all of his nonsense that he left behind. Kerrigan was one of the first people he gave a timeline to pay back her loans. Kerrigan stood toe to toe with him and slowly chipped away his gruff exterior.Kerrigan loved the person Pierce’s grandfather was to her. She didn’t know of his ugly side. The big turn came when a snowy night in a hot tub and confessions were made that love blossomed. But as they say, love had its own timeline.I loved that Pierce didn’t want to let go. He knew something was different with her but he was in no position to have a relationship. Kerrigan knew that this would never work, but she also knew she was falling for him.So much angst between them and her family. I also loved Nellie. She knew they belonged together. I just loved their chemistry from the beginning and even though their story got ugly, it ended beautifully.

loved this story just as much as any other devney book. the elias of it all was such a plot twist for me but i really enjoyed how it all played out. loved that the time they spent apart wasn’t because of a miscommunication, but was genuinely needed. my heart broke so many times for kerrigan and i saw so much of myself in her. having big dreams can be so scary, and at points even discouraging, but her growth was so beautiful to watch. love a man as down bad as peirce was, 10/10 no changes needed.

3.5 stars This was so close to a four star read for me so don’t let my rating deter you. Kerrigan and Pierce have great love hate chemistry and get a perfect second chance with a twist I didn’t see coming.. it was really the way the family wrapped up that was just a little to pat for me. But I actually loved their instant connection and the forced proximity moment. Really good light spicy read.

Nice and sweet story
I really like Devney style. You feel like you know the people in this town. She builds all this world in a nice way. And I loved that even when its a Romance the story doesn’t move around getting together with the prince charming but about teaching your dreams.

A good read
Forced proximity, enemies to lovers! Swoon. Good addition to the series. I enjoyed it. We could all learn something from this self-made woman and her tenacity!

The more we advance in the series the better are the book
I liked a lot this one. It starts easily but is going crescendo. Kerrigan is an achieved businesswoman. Pierce is a billionaire. Their love story is fast but they deserve happiness together.

♥️ Pierce & Kerrigan ♥️
Another great romance story in the Calamity Montana Series and this one revolves around billionaire Pierce Sullivan and businesswoman Kerrigan Hale.Their initial meeting was explosive, witnessed by half the townsfolk in Calamity, and their love/hate relationship was so intense, it oozed through the pages… seriously off the charts chemistry between them, and never a dull moment ???.Kerrigan gave as much as she got from Pierce; never backing down or giving up on her dream and aspirations. I really loved that about her character; a real fighter. There were some unexpected surprises throughout the storyline that kept me hooked the whole way through, and a few hints of potential romance possibilities between a some of the side characters in their circle. Can’t wait to read about those so bring on book four ???
