What’s the saying… the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else. How about three someones.
I didn’t expect the hot stranger who helped me face my ex to end up being an NHL Player and be interested in me. I really didn’t expect his two teammates to also be interested in me.
These men, they look at me like I’m everything they’ve ever dreamed of.
Now I have all three men wanting my attention.
And I want them all.
Unfortunately, it might not be that simple. When it comes down to it, the hot nights, whispered words, and strong emotions might not be enough.
I just hope that at the end of it all it will have been worth it.

FMC Works in MarketingNHL MMCsWhy chooseEeekkk!! Okay when I saw Why Choose hockey romance I had to pick it up!! I actually read the novella first, and FELL for Jared the goalie 🥰 but then quickly jumped back to this one with no hesitationI absolutely loved this book yall, Madi Danielle can write a damn good book!! The spice is spicing. The banter is elite. The flow of the story was perfection. Our girl is a plus size woman, and I’m here for that!! Madi did an excellent job of creating 3 relationships on top of their collective group dynamic. I think even those who aren’t being why choose fans could read and enjoy this one!!Vince + Chandler – loved their meet cute, and he came to rescue made me fall for him off the bat!!Brent + Chandler – teehee, he’s the one that’s always my favorite in why choose. He’s calm cool and collected. But DAMN does he know how to treat his lady!!!Matt + chandler – our playboy who finally gets claimed!! He had me going for a minute thinking he was going to need a butt kicking but he came around finally & I loved it!!All together — I’m done like turkey dinner y’all

Chandler and her men were amazing! Chandler was a sassy and relatable FMC! Still reeling from getting cheated on by her ex in the beginning, it was great to watch Chandler build her self-esteem back up and realize that she’s worth it. And she had all 3 men to thank for this. Vince was an absolute golden retriever MMC. He was so sweet, sensitive, and in tune with Chandler’s needs. Brent was the stoic MMC, who’s been dealt a bad hand in childhood. Always in control, Brent became Chandler’s pillar of strength. Then you have Matt, who’s the a**hole and is always getting into fights during games. However, he finds himself opening up to Chandler, and she helps him find his zen. As much as Chandler helps them individually, the three men also help Chandler find her confidence, showering her with so much love. The spice in this book was off the charts hot! I was hoping for a little bit more development to the characters and plot. However, overall I enjoyed this was a fast paced, spicy hockey romance!

Hockey romance is where it is at right now, and Madi Danielle’s The Hat Trick has many of the elements, tropes, angst, and yes…k!nk…one might hope for in a contemporary reverse harem/poly sports romance. Each of the MMCs brought something unique and different to the relationship…golden retriever/cinnamon roll, Daddy/Dom, alphahole.I appreciate a plus-size, curvy girl FMC. The hockey knowledge and scenes were on point. The spice was 3.5 out of 5🌶️.SPOILERS FOLLOW:A few things would have made this a 4 or even 5🌟 read for me, especially as a plus-sized person…*a more fleshed-out back story for the FMC, some resolution or vindication with her family storyline, some tangible affirmation of her as a real, plus-sized person, especially by the three hot, hunky MMCs. I would have wished for her own internal struggles and insecurities to be front and center and as important to the others in her love quadrangle as the MMCs’ were. Just having three hot, hunky, sexy guys all want the same person with no real validation isn’t enough. One spicy scene in particular with one of the MCs was a missed opportunity to address the FMCs insecurities about her weight and and affirm her loveliness and desirability.* each of the MMCs’ struggles and life challenges were kept to themselves and not shared with ANY of the others in the relationship until the end of the 3rd act, therefore the entire RH relationship felt as though it was based solely on sex, and the FMC was the only glue. As such, the interpersonal relationships between each of the three MMCs came off as shallow. They should have ALL been angsting and bonding *together* during the 3rd act (and in general) as much as they bonded with the FMC to make a long-term RH/poly relationship more believable. None of the MMCs were really friends until maybe the epilogue, and that happened off-camera.*one element of the grand gesture toward the end just didn’t work for me. It felt too petty and truly wasn’t necessary, and it diminished the feel good moments between the MMCs and the FMC.* fewer “smirks” and more smiles, grins, laughs. “Smirk” has a negative connotation and often indicates humor or condescension at the expense of others. I don’t love that description for the ways in which the heroes and heroine interact with each other, especially during the spicy scenes.* I would have preferred descriptions of her thighs as “lush”, “luscious”, “soft”, “delectable”, rather than “thick”. Or, just no descriptor at all.Despite the above critiques, The Hat Trick is worth a read if you truly enjoy hockey romance, and some of the critiques above may be less important to other readers than they were to me.

This is a great book with very spicy scenes. It’s exciting to read and I really liked all the characters. A definite hat trick!

Does this story have a real plot or lots of character development and growth? No. Not really. But it’s sweet and spicy. From the first 20 pages with the meet-cute I was hooked in this easy read with my feet kicking as I giggled. The characters are likable enough and there is enough back story to fill in some of their personalities. However, don’t read this expecting some epic romance plotline for the ages. It’s saucy and spicy, basically just chapter after chapter of smut, which hey, nothing wrong with that if you are looking for a light read.

So many books are either plot or spice and rarely do I find one that has a perfect blend. This one definitely does! Chandler and the guys have a great fun dynamic and the book just kept getting better. It was one that took my from 1 more chapter and I’ll go to bed to whoops it’s 2am and I’m done. Can’t wait to read the next 2 in the series (standalones)

Just call your character curvy or thick, don’t give me that she’s a size 14 – that ruins every image i was building in my head of her and it just doesn’t work with half of the descriptions and no way mcquid would have accused her of being a puck bunny – loses two stars for that unrealistic factor

A great story that doesn’t include any MM in case that’s a concern. The dynamic and growth of the characters is good and we can steadily see where things will end up. Medium amount of angst. It’s only mentioned once but the FMC is a big girl which I am a total fan of!

Great hockey romance book
I liked this book, with all the hype in hockey romance sometimes some books are just not for me. At this moment I’m in the mood for some RH any way it comes with any type of trope including hockey. This book was so nice to read and funny, sometimes it had me laughing out loud which it usually doesn’t happen. I love the way the name of the book was introduced and the meaning. I love the three MMCs and each of their personalities, two of them sometimes I got frustrated with the way they think but overall their personalities won my heart. It’s well written and the spice is on point. I truly enjoyed the way the girls got into hockey and their friendship. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a RH, hockey romance, with sweet, strong MMCs.

Great Book
The Hat Trick follows Chandler in the aftermath of finding out that her ex married the girl he cheated on her with, which triggers the events that lead to her meeting her guys. I enjoyed the fast pace of this book, it felt like I had been swept up and I was just hanging on for the ride. The story itself is good and kept me hooked all the way through. I really loved all the characters and the variety of personalities that was portrayed. And the spice was hot!!! There was plenty of it but it was in such a way that it didn’t take away from the story. Overall, a really good book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I’d recommend giving it a read.

HOCKEY REVERSE HAREM 🏒

I have a love/hate relationship with why choose. I love all the guys, but I’m always secretly rooting for one over the others. In this one, I loved Vince. But I was rooting for Matt. I know they all get their happy ever after, but dammit – Team Matt.I need more.

loved them
I didn’t know I needed it until I read it. I knew once I read the blub that I needed to read this asap and that is what I did. When we meet Chandler, she is in a panic because she is seconds away from running into her ex boyfriend while she is out with her bestie. To make matters worse her Ex was there with the woman that he cheated on her with and they just got married. In a desperate moment she accepts the help of a man who pretends to be her boyfriend, not realizing that he is a famous hockey player. From there they had a pretty instant connected and I honestly couldn’t get enough of Vince. He didn’t care that she was interested in his team mates as long as he got her as well. Seeing her meet the hockey platers Brent and Matt was so interesting. They all had a different approach, where Vince was instant love, Brent was more of an Alpha Male and Matt comes in with some enemies to lovers vibes. This story spices up real quick but the exploration of their pasts and trying to get the future that they always wanted was such a wild ride. There were moments that I was holding back tears for some of what these characters need to go through. Also need to give a shut out to Audrey because I love a supportive and hilarious best friend.
