A gripping and intense read that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The characters are deeply flawed yet compelling, and the plot twists are both unexpected and thrilling. The author does an excellent job of weaving together suspense and emotion, making it hard to put down.

When I read a blurb comparing Too Late with Verity I feared I’d be disappointed but I decided to read the book anyway because the first blurb I read sounded so good. Both books grab you and demand you read because the writing is so compelling. I’m glad I finished because I liked the story and despite my fears I didn’t hate the ending like I did with Verity.

While Colleen Hoover is a brilliant writer, I found myself wondering why I was reading another intensely toxic relationship book. I cringed thinking about how trapped the main lead felt and she feared for her life really leaving him. The undercover cop element was a bit a flawed lead there, although as usual I found myself rooting for them to make it work. I looked at the book outside of the others she has written to say it was a great read! I think I need a bit more feel good and relatable romance stories in between my Hoover reads.

Too Late was highly recommended but I have sat on this book for too long. Finally I was able to sit and read it, and I loved it. I found it dragged in points but Asa’s as a character was written beautifully. This man was deranged, over the top crazy, and I felt Colleen wrote him perfectly. He is unhinged at times, as there were mental issues at play here, but as well as he was written, he was definitely despicable as a person. Now Sloan, I felt so bad for her and the hand she was dealt. She has a lot on her plate and Asa, being the narcissist that he is, picked up that and manipulated her in every way for years.I loved this story. Yes, it was darker than what Colleen Hoover typically writes, but it was not dark in my opinion. The characters were well written and as a reader I love to feel like I know the characters and Colleen did this beautifully. ?

Colleen never disappoints! The last few chapters I found myself skipping lines bc I couldn’t read fast enough. Not bc I wasn’t enjoying it, but bc I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. It was really great. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!!

I’m not sure what took me so long to read this book, but was it ever amazing. I seriously could not put it down. It was VERY well written, the constant cliff hangers and plot twists kept me on the edge of my chair the entire time. 10/10.

Fiquei surpresa!!! Não esperava gostar tanto desse livro!!! É pesadíssimo e difícil de ler, mas é muito bem escrito e os abusos são retratados de maneira cirúrgica!! Ao contrário de muitos outros livros da Colleen, aqui as problemáticas são retratadas, mas não são romantizadas! O vilão em nenhum momento gera sentimentos de empatia no leitor! E eu agradeço muito a autora por ter feito essa retratação da maneira correta!! Um excelente livro!!

Amazing best book I’ve read.
I’ve only just really got into reading (well read alot) I’ve read 6 colleen hoover books in a month and half. This was by far the best. Had me gripped and on the edge of my seat the whole time.
