This is what we expect from Pixar visually -- imaginative characters and situations all well realized.The plot is pretty obvious, however. This is a simple story of a young woman coming of age and finding her true love. There are, of course, many obstacles to be overcome.It does have an immigrant family theme, and economic disparity between the families.But not enough to rise above the rom-com level. Which may be a good thing or a less-good thing, depending on how you feel about rom-coms.
